“It’s time to LEVEL UP your business, let me help!” - Mandisa
Mandisa C. Annakie (née Styles), Esq.’s passion for business, entrepreneurship, and law started at a young age as a member of the Girl Scouts of America and watching legal dramas with her grandmother. Realizing her passions, Mandisa grew up believing that she had to make a choice between either a career in business or a legal career. It wasn’t until taking a business law class in high school, that Mandisa realized that she didn’t have to choose at all because the two worlds blend together so seamlessly. It was with this realization that she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in English from Georgia State University and obtained her Juris Doctorate degree with distinctions from the Mercer University School of Law.
During law school, Mandisa was chosen to be a member of the Robert F. Wagner National Labor and Employment Law Moot Court team and the nationally ranked Mercer Law Client Counseling team. Mandisa was a first place regional finalist and 2017 national finalist for the American Bar Association Client Counseling Competition. While in law school, she also served in various leadership roles, including Communication Director of the Southern Region of the Black Law Students Association, Competition Editor for the Mercer Advocacy Council, and Student Prosecutor of the Mercer Law Honor Court. As the Student Prosecutor, Mandisa prosecuted violations of the Mercer Law Honor Code.
Mandisa also gained practical legal experience in her law school internships which include the Syracuse University School of Law’s Cold Case Justice Initiative and the Georgia Appleseed Center for Law & Justice. These experiences sharpened Mandisa’s writing and research abilities and thrust her to the forefront of various legal issues.
Following her graduation from law school, Mandisa began her legal career with a clerkship as a staff attorney for the Honorable Samuel D. Ozburn and Layla H. Zon of the Alcovy Judicial Circuit in Walton and Newton Counties. While serving as a staff attorney, Mandisa was able to experience many areas of the law while serving the community. Upon completing her clerkship, Mandisa shifted her focus back to her first passions — business, entrepreneurship, and law —by establishing The Styles Firm, LLC. Through The Styles Firm, Mandisa gets the opportunity to help entrepreneurs, creatives, and entertainers establish a strong legal foundation for their businesses and protect their passions. In her spare time, Mandisa enjoys traveling, painting, and spending time with friends and family.
